Welcome to my website

My name is Dwayne Louw. A South African artist, that has been putting paint to canvas since 2005.
At an early age, drawing and sketching has always been a favorite past time of mine. At the age of 14, I was introduced to an artist who became my mentor and master. The late Fred Van Enter, who taught me the wonders of paint. Exposing me to many mediums over my 4 year's as art student at his school in Germiston.

I learned to work with so many wonderful mediums such as pencil, oil and dry pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic and qouache.

He encouraged me to experiment and explore different techniques, until I found the one that matches my style and creativity. This is why most of my work is done with acrylic on canvas, done by brush and pallet knife techniques. I often play around with different mediums to create unique textures and patterns.
